Cybercommunity Lab (Cycomlab) was a proposal presented to Community Board 12 in 2002 to address the lack of development and vision for Northern Manhattan. It proposed the use of Geographic Information Systems, GIS, internet online communication tools and Research and Development platform 3D software, and walkthrough mix with earlier media access to bring together community members and stakeholders to discuss and come up with solutions for the development of the area thru the proposal 197-A plan. The goal of Cycomlab was to create a center laboratory, virtual space, library and exhibition space where community members could collaborate and share ideas, resources, and information to help drive the development of Northern Manhattan. By utilizing advance software on mapping and 3D mix with census statistical data, Cycomlab aimed to engage and empower community members in the decision-making process and ensure that their voices were heard in the development of their neighborhood.

Our Sustainable and Efficient Communities proposal are places designed and managed in ways that minimize their impact on the environment and natural resources, while also promoting the well-being and prosperity of the people who live there. Sustainable communities are often characterized by features such as compact, walkable design; access to public transportation; energy-efficient buildings and infrastructure; and the use of renewable energy sources. They also often have a strong sense of social cohesion and a commitment to environmental stewardship, always are able to make the most of their resources and minimize waste, by using resources efficiently and adopting practices that minimize negative impacts on the environment. This might involve, for example, using energy-efficient technologies and systems, reducing the amount of energy wasted, and adopting sustainable practices in areas such as green public services, recycling, transportation and land used. Both sustainable and efficient communities can contribute to a healthier, more prosperous, and more equitable environment.
Our future will hold the implementation model for SEC Communities in several countries around the world interested in the solutions for sustainable and efficient communities, but it is likely that these types of communities will continue to grow in importance as the global population continues to increase and the impacts of climate change become more severe. As resources become scarcer and the need for environmental sustainability becomes more pressing, it is likely that sustainable and efficient communities will become more prevalent and more sought by people who are looking for places to live and work that are more in harmony with the natural environment.
SEC communities and CYCOMLAB model will continue to evolve and become more accessible, sophisticated, incorporating a wider range of technologies and practices that help to minimize the environmental impact and promote the well-being of its residents. This might include the use of advanced energy systems, the adoption of innovative transportation systems, and the integration of natural systems into the built environment. It is also likely that sustainable and efficient communities will become more connected, with a greater emphasis on using digital technologies to support communication, collaboration, and resource sharing. Overall, the future of sustainable and efficient communities looks bright, as more and more people recognize the importance of living in harmony with the natural world and seek out ways to build a more sustainable and equitable future. there is a growing recognition around the world of the importance of sustainability and efficiency in the planning and development of communities, and many State are taking steps to promote these values in the local and regional economic policies and practices.
